Dr Ina-Marié works with learners who face challenges with school readiness, learning difficulties, and adjustment. She helps children build coping skills, self-confidence, resilience, and supports them in developing study habits, time management, and emotional regulation strategies.

With over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 5 years in higher education and online tutoring, Dr Ina-Marié is an accomplished South African educator and researcher. She holds aPhD in Educational Psychologyfrom the University of Pretoria, specialising in support, guidance, and counselling, as well as aMaster’s in Inclusive Educationfrom the University of the Free State. Her academic background also includes a B.Ed (Hons) in Psychology of Education (University of KwaZulu-Natal) and advanced diplomas in Primary and Pre-Primary Education.

Fluent inEnglish and Afrikaans, Dr Ina-Marié has taught across all levels, fromGrade R/Foundation Phase through to postgraduate students. Her expertise spans Primary Education, ESL (English as a Second Language), Special Education & Learning Support, and Educational Psychology/Counselling. She has extensive experience supporting learners with ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges, making her particularly effective in inclusive and special needs education. Passionate about helping learners master the basics, prepare for assessments, and develop long-term academic habits, she provides tutoring that is supportive, engaging, and grounded in best-practice pedagogy.
