Global Tutors provides online tutoring services for students from Grade 4 to Grade 12 or equivalent international levels. Lessons are delivered by independent tutors through interactive, curriculum-aligned teaching methods. These may include project-based learning, role-playing activities, hands-on tasks, and gamified learning.
Tutors assess each student’s goals, curriculum requirements, and learning needs. They then prepare a personalised learning plan. Pricing varies based on tutor qualifications, experience, subject expertise, and availability. All fees are communicated clearly before lessons begin.
One credit equals one 60-minute lesson.
Students and parents may book lessons on any schedule, including weekly, twice weekly, or intensive preparation before examinations. Credits remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. All credit packages must be paid in full before lessons begin. Students and parents are responsible for booking lessons within the validity period.
Global Tutors assists in tutor matching but cannot guarantee the future availability of any tutor. Tutor replacements may occur due to illness, scheduling conflicts, or discontinuation. Consistent tutoring with one tutor is encouraged, but not guaranteed.
Parents and students are encouraged to provide school materials when required, including past papers, assignments, or curriculum documents.
Tutors working through Global Tutors act as independent contractors. They are responsible for their own tax compliance, equipment, and working environment. Tutors are paid per completed lesson. Global Tutors does not guarantee minimum hours, fixed income, or consistent student volume.
All tutors complete screening, interviews, reference checks, and an annual police clearance. Additional documentation may be requested at any time. Tutors must maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, punctuality, and compliance with Global Tutors policies.
Tutors must prepare lessons in advance using curriculum-aligned, age-appropriate, and interactive methods. Lesson plans should be adapted to each student’s goals and needs. Tutors may request learning materials from students when necessary. Tutors may use their own resources or materials supplied by the academic team.
Tutors must maintain accurate profiles that reflect their timetable, subjects, qualifications, and lesson notes. They must enter lessons on time and maintain professionalism throughout sessions. Lessons should be student-centred and designed to promote engagement through appropriate teaching methods.
Tutors may receive opportunities through platform notifications or through manual placement by the Global Tutors team. Tutors must manage their schedules responsibly and honour accepted commitments. They must respond promptly to messages from students, parents, or Global Tutors staff.
Once matched, tutors may coordinate session times directly with families within Global Tutors communication guidelines.
Lesson preparation may include exercises, quizzes, reading assignments, worksheets, revision notes, or project-based tasks. Tutors may ask students for school materials to ensure alignment with their curriculum. The academic team may assist with specialised resources or exam-preparation materials. All lesson content must comply with copyright requirements and be age-appropriate.
Homework is optional and must be purposeful and aligned with the student’s learning goals. Tutors must provide regular updates including progress summaries, recommended strategies, short-term objectives, and long-term goals.
Tutors must notify Global Tutors and the family at least 24 hours before a cancellation. Tutors must maintain a reliable schedule and ensure they have a stable internet connection, functioning equipment, and a professional teaching environment.
